My Story

Hello everyone, my name is Louis Vizcarrando Jr. I was born in New York City. I joined the Marine Corps right after high school and I served 8 years. While I was in the service, my goal was to be a Sergeant by the time I got out and in 2004 of January I was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. I really enjoyed my time in the service. After I completed my time in the military, in 2006, I started working for the Correctional Department in the follow states: Virginia and New Mexico.  My time as a Correctional Officer, I moved up in rank; I was promoted to Sergeant within the first year and half while working at Santa Fe state prison. In 2015 I started to work for the New Mexico Youth Challange Academy; while working here, I moved up in rank. I enjoy seeing young men and women become productive citizens and see them be successful in the field of work they have chosen to do for a living. After being at the Challenge for 8 years, I am now employed at the New Mexico Workforce as a Veteran Representative,  to help our Veterans get back on their feet. I look forward to being a part of making Roswell a healthy, safe place to live.
