My Story

Hello.  I am Felicia Y. Juarez.  I came to CCHC late last year by way of SNMCAC Roswell Head Start where I currently serve as the Center manager for all Roswell sites and am also currently serving as the Interim Assistant Director for the agency w, which covers Roswell, Dexter, Artesia and Carlsbad. I love working with children and am honored to bring concerns involving children to the council when I am able to.  I have been a Social Worker for over 25 years, working with various populations such as low income, below poverty children and families, Developmentally Disabled Adults and Children, Hospice, Job Corps, and incarcerated adolescents.

I possess an MSW and a Bachelors in Psych and also graduated as a Psy Chi member from NMSU. I am a CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor and I have been with Head Start for a year and a half.  The agency that I currently work for is a Community Action Corporation so we are huge on providing assistance in any way that we can to the community members of Chaves County as well as educating young children ages 3 and 4 and preparing them for public schools.  I am also a member of the early Childhood professionals Initiative established through 100% Chaves County and work hard to collaborate with other early childhood professionals to ensure that we are doing our best to educate our young children while keeping them safe and healthy and also ensuring that the staff that we all work with have dependable and sufficient resources to do their jobs.  I am so proud to be a member of Chaves County Health Council and appreciate all that they do for our community!
